I'm thrilled to be joining a group of other teachers and scholars this summer for a five-week trip to India funded by a Fullbright-Hays Fellowship. The trip has been generously organized by two Oakton Community College faculty members, Madhuri Deshmukh and Katherine Schuster. Our main aim is to explore the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi's work in India, a project associated with the Peace Studies programs at Oakton Community College and Loyola University Chicago, where I teach in the English department. I want to use this blog to provide links for the sites and destinations we'll be visiting, and later, to post reports and photos from the trip.
